These simple and easy Easter crafts were created around the idea of celebrating new life and new beginnings.
With spring plants begin to bloom and signs of new life can be found.
Easter is the time of the Resurrection.
What are some of the signs of new life we see in the spring?
Materials
200 g jar Mush Mallow Cream
60 ml Creamy Peanut Butter
25 ml Melted Butter or Margarine
140 g Can of Chow-Mein Noodles
375 ml Smarties
Directions
In a mixing bowl, beat the first three ingredients until smooth. Add the noodles and Smarties and stir. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator until it is easy to handle. Form nests by spooning a small portion of the mixture at a time. Return the nests to the fridge for another 30 minutes. Place several candies (jelly beans, Smarties or M&Ms work well) on top of the nests. Serve!
Use the child's hand to draw this cute bunny:
A great song to teach the children is Little Bunny Foo Foo. It is a fun nursery rhyme with a great beat. I included the music so you can sing along if you wish.
1. Cut 3 sheets of paper (8 1/2 x 11) into halves.
2. Fold each paper again.
3. Draw and egg on the paper and color it in.
4. Cut up the eggs in half.
5. Turn the cards upside down and try to find the match of the top of the egg to its bottom.
